The successful candidate will prepare and investigate self-organized structures with a state-of-the-art highresolution transmission electron microscope. A particular focus will lie on method development for three dimensional structure analysis. Preferentially the candidate has a background in transmission electron microscopy and corresponding sample preparation or numerical structure reconstruction/image simulation. The project is part of the interdisciplinary research within the new and well-equipped Laboratory for Emerging Nano metrology (LENA) in Braunschweig. The project will be organized in close collaboration with the Physikalisch Technische Bundealsanstalt (PTB) and the Leibnitz University Hannover.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a degree in physics or related fields and with interest in experimental improvements of electron microscopes and structure reconstruction. We expect the willingness to work at the different sites and for research stays abroad that may last several weeks. Fluent English will be required.

This is a fixed-term contract for 36 month. The salary level is E13 TVL (75%). Application expenses cannot be reimbursed.
